The Assistant Principal for CCSC can expect to:Lead advisory including programming course planning and executionVia checkins with advisors track and oversee academic and behavioral progress for a subset of grade levelsSet and maintain a safe restorative and positive school culture that prioritizes equity respect and strong relationshipsSit on the schoolwide events committee helping to plan a variety of events that contribute to positive school cultureWork with the Principals Office on a variety of projects and responsibilities taking a leadership role in some areas and a supporting role in others. Examples include:Support teachers in followup related to plagiarism or academic dishonestyCollect organize and use data relevant to school disciplineMonitor and supervise student behavior and implement school discipline when necessarySupervise students serving InSchool SuspensionParticipate in relevant disciplinary hearings and complete necessary documents and data tracking in a timely mannerCommunicate regularly with students familiesDirectly support with student behavior management in and out of classroomsSupervise student attendance work including the AVF program late from lunch and chronic absenteeism. Intervene (with the support of the Student Support Team) when necessary on chronic to the growth of faculty and staff through mentoring coaching or other forms of professional developmentParticipate in the hiring of teachers and staff when necessaryFulfill regular CCSC staff responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Head of SchoolQualifications:Several years of classroom teaching experience and expertise required with knowledge of charter schools strongly preferredStrong relationshipbuilding skills with youth and adults requiredExperience with Restorative Justice (Tiers 1 2 and 3 strongly preferredExperience coaching and/or otherwise leading school staff preferredSalary: The salary for this position is dependent on teaching and/or school leadership experience. The expected salary range for this role is $80000 $95000.
