About Your Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented People and Culture Officer to join our People Culture and Safety Group. This role is critical in triaging HR requests providing accurate and compliant HR advice and supporting employees and leaders across the employment life cycle. You will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient HR activities and programs supporting change initiatives and providing meaningful reporting and analysis. This position is initially offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
- Provide advice to employees ensuring compliance with industrial instruments and organisational policies.
- Prepare HRrelated documentation including employment contracts higher duties letters and flexible work arrangements.
- Collate and analyse HR data to produce reports and dashboards for informed decisionmaking.
- Conduct job evaluations provide remuneration recommendations and support organisational design principles.
- Ensure data integrity in the HR system and maintain accurate employee records.
- Support the People and Culture team with firstline systems and process support.
- Liaise with stakeholders to identify and implement system capability improvements.
- Work closely with the recruitment team providing coordination support.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with Seqwaters Code of Conduct.
About you
To be successful as our People and Culture Officer you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience working in and supporting an HR team.
- Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Highlevel written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Practical working knowledge of relevant HR legislation regulations and HR policy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience maintaining HR systems and employee records.
- Ideally we would love it if you advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint PowerBI Copilot) and had an understanding of remuneration benchmarking and position evaluation but we can support you with this.
