We are looking for a professional and proactive Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries ensuring a polite prompt and efficient response while maintaining clear and accurate records. Youll play a key role in resolving customer queries escalating where necessary and supporting product improvement through user acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to customer queries via email phone and live chat in a timely and professional manner
Record and manage queries in the companys call management system ensuring each is resolved or escalated appropriately
Assist customers in achieving resolution to their requests or issues
Participate in software user acceptance testing and provide valuable feedback
Promote and comply with company policies including Quality Environmental and Health & Safety
Ensure your work aligns with the Companys Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct
Foster an inclusive environment supporting SGS UKs Equality & Diversity policy
Skills and Experience Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problemsolving abilities with a customerfocused approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with customer service software/systems (advantageous)
Experience in a customerfacing role preferred
High attention to detail and organisational skills
Qualifications :
English Language and Mathematics GCSE Level or equivalent (grades A* to C)
Desirable
Traderelated qualification (e.g.: UK Customs Academy/BCC/BIFA)
Recognised traderelated membership (e.g.: Institute of Export)
