Job Description

We are looking for a professional and proactive Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries ensuring a polite prompt and efficient response while maintaining clear and accurate records. Youll play a key role in resolving customer queries escalating where necessary and supporting product improvement through user acceptance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer queries via email phone and live chat in a timely and professional manner

  • Record and manage queries in the companys call management system ensuring each is resolved or escalated appropriately

  • Assist customers in achieving resolution to their requests or issues

  • Participate in software user acceptance testing and provide valuable feedback

  • Promote and comply with company policies including Quality Environmental and Health & Safety

  • Ensure your work aligns with the Companys Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct

  • Foster an inclusive environment supporting SGS UKs Equality & Diversity policy

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problemsolving abilities with a customerfocused approach

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Familiarity with customer service software/systems (advantageous)

  • Experience in a customerfacing role preferred

  • High attention to detail and organisational skills


Qualifications :

English Language and Mathematics GCSE Level or equivalent (grades A* to C)

Desirable

Traderelated qualification (e.g.: UK Customs Academy/BCC/BIFA)

Recognised traderelated membership (e.g.: Institute of Export)
