POSITION DUTIES

This position is a key member of the Comptrollers Government Affairs team and is responsible for evaluating and preparing materials summarizing how proposed legislative policy and regulatory changes would impact the agency and its core tax accounting and other functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Six years of administrative staff or professional work.

Notes:

  1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
  2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degreefrom an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
  3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Masters degree froman accredited college or universityfor five years of the requiredexperience.
  4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules regulations policy procedures and processes or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a yearforyear basis for the required experience.

** For education obtainedoutside of the U.S. you will be required to provide proof of the equivalentAmericaneducation as determined by a foreign credential evaluationservice. If you possess a degree obtained outsideof the United States pleasesubmit a detailed coursebycourse evaluation report from one of evaluating members identified at note: Administrative Staff experience differs fromgeneral administrative experience. Administrative staff encompasses discretionand independent judgment directly related to policies operations orsupervision of personnel. A candidate with administrative staff experience willdemonstrate the ability to identify the root cause of issues developalternative courses of action and implement new policies or procedures. Generaladministrative experience is routine support work that is often present in administrativeassistant or other office roles.
