Job Description
Duration:8 months
Positions Available: 2
Start Date:Monday September 8 2025
For this exciting position we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Electrical Engineering Mechanical engineering or a related field. As a Engineering coop you will be able to support senior engineers in exciting projects so dont miss out on this opportunity and join our team!If you are not currently located in the area of this coop position you must be willing to either commute or relocate to the surrounding area for the entire duration of the coop must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian postsecondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the coop term (you will also be returning back to the postsecondary institution once the coop term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required if applicable.

Resposibility
- Be a courageous safety leader adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Participatein the health and safety programs of Teck to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day
- Collaborate with engineering team to produce detailed plan technical projects on site such as developing maintenance strategies for critical fixed assets.
- Opportunity to assist in coordination of maintenance projects relating to plant mine and maintenance expansions and modifications; responsible for organizing scheduling and monitoring the status of maintenance projects
- Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
- Troubleshootrecurrent failures and determining root causes
- Collaboratewith engineering and site operations to organize schedule manage costs analyze data and monitor progress of projects

Qualifications
- Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering technical and operational personnel
- Motivated selfstarter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Access) and a solid understanding of AutoCAD and Solidworks would be advantageous
- Previous work experience in a technical or engineering environment is an asset
- Experience with form design macros and data analysis is an asset
- Project management skills is an asset
- Experience with Power BI is an asset
- Able to learn new technologies and platforms quickly accurately and efficiently
- Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
- Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand
- Spanish is a must

Salary Range: $4700 $6000 / Month
Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior coop experiences completed.
