Job Description

Clinical Nurse Educator Womens Health

As the Clinical Nurse Educator for Womens Health you will play a key role in developing delivering and evaluating clinical education programs for the midwifery and nursing staff within the Maternity and Womens Health Unit. Your work will focus on enhancing professional practice by providing clinical supervisionboth individually and in groupsempowering Nurses and Midwives to develop their skills in line with evidencebased practices policies and procedures.

This permanent position is open to Level 3 Registered Nurses and fulltime or parttime hours can be tailored to suit your needs.

  • 21 postnatal/surgical beds
  • 4 private birthing suites
  • Supported by an 8bed Level 2 Special Care Nursery

About you

We are seeking experienced and compassionate midwives with:

  • Post graduate qualifications in midwifery with appropriate AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrate clinical experience and contemporary midwifery knowledge relevant to this role.
  • Demonstrated an advanced level of interpersonal and written communication skills to enable accurate complete and timely information transfer.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a professional role model in supporting the professional development of others; applying evidence and best practice to patient care establishing and maintaining relationships; and managing a range of tasks to support positive outcomes for the individual and workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within both clinical and education teams to meet service imperatives within designated timeframes and resource allocations
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willing to undertake in 1st year)
