ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain daily checkoff log of utilities/facility equipment.
- Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and perform needed repairs.
- Perform electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes ballast sockets fuses minor appliances cords etc. using appropriate hand power and specialty tools.
- Perform plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets unclogging of drains trenching and laying new lines replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices etc.
- Perform painting carpentry and masonry work.
- Maintain overhead lighting systems.
- Inspect and correct all exterior door mechanics and seals.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities associated with the plant facility.
- Maintain interior and exterior rollup doors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain understanding of and compliance with all SCN BestCo policies guidelines and cGMP standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills basic electrical welding and pipefitting skills.
- Ability to read and understand manuals blueprints engineer designs and complex schematics.
- Strong time management communication teamwork organization and problemsolving skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills including Outlook.
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate from college or technical school in a relevant field of study.
- Current OSHA forklift certification.
- Career Readiness Certification (CRC).
- Working knowledge of boilers chillers refrigeration pumps motors and temperature controls.
