Job Description
Our client an International investment business is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the infrastructure support team youll have the opportunity to work with highperformance Linuxbased trading and research platforms. The Linux Engineer will be involved in building administering upgrading and supporting the Linux estate as well as contributing to monitoring and automation initiatives. The role can be based in Hong Kong/ Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building administering upgrading and supporting our Linuxbased platforms
- Monitoring and automation initiatives
- Collaborating with engineering teams to document and improve processes
Requirements:
- Handson experience working with Linuxbased platforms with excellent Linux administration skills.
- Knowledge of RedHat and Centos
- Experience in endtoend server deployments
- Familiarity with AMD/Intel server hardware and components
- Experience in designing and tuning lowlatency server infrastructure
- Strong problemsolving communication and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of server network stack network protocols (e.g. TCP UDP) LAN and WAN technologies
- Familiarity with automation technologies (e.g. Ansible) is a plus
- Strong experience with Python and Bash scripting is a plus
- Previous experience in a buyside environment is a nice to have but not essential
