Job Description

Our client a toptier trading firm is seeking a talented 5 years Production Support Engineer with expertise in Linux to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production systems and resolving any technical issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the stability and performance of our production systems running on Linux.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the development team to deploy new features and updates to the production environment.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure efficient system maintenance and support.
  • Participate in oncall rotations to provide support outside of regular business hours as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience working with Linux systems in a production environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash Python or Perl.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios Zabbix or Prometheus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
