Job Description

The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Area Manager for the Central Operations. The Area Manager Central Operations will ensure positive interactions between Delivery Service Partners and Logistics Specialists. This position will deliver on operational objectives through the use of tools management of a team of logistics specialists and coordination with various partners. Area Manager Central Operations are accountable for cost customer experience and delivery partner experience. In addition you will be instrumental in developing best practices and standard work for the network. The Area Manager Central Operations will serve as problem solver and primary escalation point for the team. The individual will provide periodic updates to Senior Managers about status of the operation or any major escalations allocate labor train new associates drive continuous improvement into our operation and enforce Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance and Service Level Agreement response times.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Logistics Specialists on their day to day operations
Allocate staff and labor to match business needs
Manage schedule and shift changes
Train and mentor employees and peers
Instrumental in developing new standard work for the network based on data observations and feedback
Responsible for excellence in standard work and SOP compliance of Logistics Specialists
Support recruiting needs: interviews phone screens etc.







2 years of employee and performance management experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays

1 years of performance metrics process improvement or lean techniques experience
