Job Description

We are a central analytics team that owns Amazons insights pipeline from data collection to deep analytics. We aspire to be the place where Amazon teams come for answers a trusted source for data and insights that empower our systems and business leaders to make better decisions. Our outputs shape Amazon product and marketing teams decisions and thus how Amazon customers see use and value their experience.

As the Technical Program Management lead you will work closely with stakeholders software engineers machine learning scientists and product teams to deliver our most complex high quality and scalable products deployed around the world and across Amazon. You will collaborate with our and partner product teams to deliver the best product with the most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all the stakeholders to assemble project teams assign responsibilities identify resource gaps and develop work back plans to launch multiple initiatives. You will also assess risks anticipate bottlenecks provide escalation management make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Successful candidates will have a technical background be detail driven and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and problemsolving abilities. Successful candidates should not only be passionate about delivering extensible ontime solutions but also obsessed with contributing to the development of highperformance teams through rigorous goalsetting disciplined attention to performance metrics and continuous process improvement.


Key job responsibilities
Own the development and delivery of key programs across science and engineering teams
Lead planning and delivery of projects across multiple teams around the world
Own communication for technical delivery across these projects with senior leadership and partner organizations
Support sprint planning and reporting for our engineering and science teams and support annual roadmapping cycles
Identify and develop automated selfserve mechanisms to scale currently manual processes where relevant and work with internal stakeholders to drive adoption
Support the team in developing metrics measuring their impact and identifying ways to improve against them
Thrive in working with key stakeholders in executive teams and marketing teams to define strategy and requirements and to align on a path forward when there are complex tradeoffs
Communicate regularly with senior leadership on status risks and change control
Make technical concepts intuitive for nontechnical audiences especially in regards to statistics and machine learning

7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
Bachelors Degree

5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
