Job Description

Our MidAmerica region is seeking a Human Resources Manager! We are looking for an experienced individual who can efficiently plan coordinate and direct the administrative functions of the firm within this region (Mississippi Alabama Tennessee Arkansas).

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as admin for HR Systems within their division of the company
  • Handle biweekly payroll including but not limited to: retro pay prorating etc.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition performing background checks onboard employees and more
  • Administer benefits offered: medical/dental/vision FSA 401K PTO FMLA STD LTD workers compensation
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and when needed properly offboard people. May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations investigating allegations of wrongdoing and terminations
  • Serve as culture liaison; planning local events and charity functions
  • Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and review policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required
  • A minimum of 57 years of human resource management experience preferred
  • SHRMCP or SHRMSCP highly desired

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
