Are you a handson technical leader who can make a huge impact on a dynamic fast moving business Are you equally comfortable digging into business and financial requirements as you are drilling into architecture and design with development teams Does the idea of helping manage Amazons growing financial products by building technical solutions at scale sound interesting Then this is the position for you.
Amazon is seeking an experienced Sr TPM to join the Profit Intelligence team leading the vision and delivery of internalfacing products serving 10000 worldwide Consumer Business users. Our team owns accurate timely and granular profitability data for the worldwide Consumer business. Our products serve as a critical input to business performance reporting as well as automated systems that make profitability decisions at scale. Given the importance we must be able to scale as the business expands providing selfservice analytical and diagnostic capabilities while guaranteeing data quality with meaningful accuracy measures. Therefore we are building a new suite of featurerich products ranging from proactive insights reactive analytics simulations and anomaly detection.
Key job responsibilities
This role requires working closely with businesses across Amazon the product management team and key software development teams across the company to define strategy and requirements and then lead projects through operations design and delivery. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status risks and product strategy. Excellent listening writing skills and strong technical competency are essential. The ideal candidate has thrived and succeeded in delivering broadly adopted technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift quickly. They are a strong leader who can prioritize well communicate clearly and compellingly and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence. Qualified candidates have experience defining projects and features collecting requirements writing detailed functional and test specifications coordinating large cross functional projects and schedules and delivering complex projects with accurate results at high scale.
From a business and technical perspective this TPM will:
Have a strong track record of shaping business strategy for technical products or services
Understand how to design scalable software
Be conversant with internet technologies
Communicate effectively with both business and technical partners
Have an entrepreneurial spirit

5 years of technical product or program management experience
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
