This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of specialists and drive the development of innovative solutions within the Collections Recoveries and Account Management functions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team within the Credit Decision Science function focusing on Collections Recoveries and Account Management.
- Conduct data analysis to produce strategic information for critical credit and risk indicators.
- Extract and aggregate data from large relational databases.
- Implement data mining and predictive modeling techniques.
- Translate user requirements into business requirement specifications.
- Ensure confidentiality and manage intellectual property considerations.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 4 years in data science within the retail credit risk management environment.
- Experience in extracting and aggregating data data mining and predictive modeling.
- Demonstrated leadership in project management or leading analyst/data scientist teams.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum: Honours Degree in Mathematics or Data Science.
- Preferred: Masters Degree in Mathematics or Data Science.
- Knowledge:
- Analytics and predictive modeling.
- Project management methodologies.
- IT implementation cycles and various operating systems/databases.
- Best practices in credit risk.
- General business acumen and interpretation of user requirements.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and numerical reasoning skills.
- Analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS SQL R and Python.
- Attention to detail and commercial thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
