Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician (Millwright) Tetra to join their team in Wellington. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery is properly maintained and operating at peak efficiency in a fastpaced continuous production environment. This is a shiftbased position with overtime and night shift allowances payable in addition to the total cost to company (TCTC) package.
Responsibilities:
Refurbish machinery and replace parts to optimize output.
Perform preventive maintenance measures to safeguard machinery.
Inspect operate and record maintenance work and related costs.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of machinery tools and work areas.
Check and inspect all production machinery regularly.
Service and maintain all machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Coordinate work with the production department and obtain feedback on machinery functionality.
Ensure correct use of maintenance tools and equipment for repairs.
Comply with all company safety measures and conduct regular safety inspections.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance work.
Plan and schedule maintenance and service procedures via the maintenance system.
Assemble machinery and ensure proper setup and operation.
Detect defects or malfunctions in machinery and perform necessary repairs.
Place and document orders for spare and replacement parts.
Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards are adhered to.
Manage time effectively to meet all specified deadlines.
Requirements:
Grade 12 with a Millwright Trade Certificate and minimum N3 qualification.
23 years experience as a Tetra Technician in an FMCG environment.
Knowledge of Tetra equipment policies and procedures.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments.
Strong time management problemsolving and analytical skills.
Professional enthusiastic hardworking and wellorganized.
Ability to work as part of a team with a proactive handson approach.
Strong discipline organizational skills and an assertive personality.
