DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Director Transfer Pricing Trade and Customs to join the Transfer Pricing team.
Daytoday responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with global trade regulations including U.S. Customs regulations import/export laws and international trade agreements.
- Prepare and submit import/export documentation (e.g. entry summaries commercial invoices packing lists) to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance.
- Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and assess duties taxes and trade program eligibility (e.g. USMCA GSP).
- Maintain and monitor records of import/export activity to ensure audit readiness and compliance with customs regulations.
- Liaise with customs brokers freight forwarders and internal teams to resolve import/export issues and ensure smooth crossborder transactions.
- Develop recommend and deliver transfer pricing services in a timely manner
- Work with U.S. and foreign multinational clients to identify and assess cross border intercompany transactions
- Develop local country transfer pricing documentation
- Strategize on local country revenue authority transfer pricing audits
- Participate in advanced pricing agreements (APA)
- Global transfer pricing planning
- Continuous work towards optimization of the clients existing and new U.S. to foreign and foreign to foreign intercompany transactions
- Special projects relating to client restructuring acquisition or divestiture
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Manage the work of client service team members and mentor staff
- Prepare and analyze financial and economic data through the use of various software and statistical sampling packages
- Prepare quality practical approaches to the clients economic situation and arrive at logical businessbased conclusions
Essential traits:
- Bachelors degree in Economics Finance Accounting or Statistics. MBA or Masters degree preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of complex transfer pricing concepts including an indepth knowledge of IRC 482 and the international transfer pricing environment
- Ability to effectively apply economic and financial knowledge to client business issues
- 69 years relevant transfer pricing advisory experience including documentation research planning valuation of intangibles APAs and development and review of complex valuation models preferably in a consulting environment
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Exceptional analytical research and quantitative skills
- Excellent project management and presentation skills including superior verbal and written communication skills
- Highly energetic and a selfstarter with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced professional services environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
- Experience working with diverse teams
