Job Overview
As an Expense Audit Associate you will collaborate & work with the core auditors team & senior associates to protect company policies through comprehensive audits. Your role will involve working closely with various teams and senior associates to implement best practices ensuring that employees expenditures align with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daytoday audits as assigned by senior associates following firm policies.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with agreedupon processes.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to identify potential errors and inconsistencies in US spending.
Work effectively with team members to grasp process knowledge and manage external stakeholder queries.
Maintain a healthy level of professional skepticism and be willing to challenge assumptions and evidence.
Uphold high ethical standards and objectivity in workoriented tasks.
Experience required
25 years of experience in finance operations focusing on auditing US employee spending and understanding spending behaviors.
Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in using advanced financial tools such as SAP Concur SAP Hana
Power BI and Alteryx.
Strong client management skills along with query handling capabilities.
Strategic thinking and ability to align team goals with the firms objectives.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to make datadriven decisions and provide actionable insights.
Excellent excel skills.
Ability to build small scale automations solutions through process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
Continuously monitor and review expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Develop and implement audit programs to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during audits.
Assist in the preparation of audit reports and documentation for senior associates.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Contribute to the development and improvement of audit methodologies and procedures.
Support the implementation of new financial systems and tools to enhance audit processes.
Maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of financial data at all times.
Provide guidance and support to junior auditors in their professional development.
