Job Description
Job Description Summary:
Assists the physicians/providers with the examination and treatment of patients and performs routine tasks required to ensure the Clinic runs smoothly. Participates in the planning and evaluation of patient care. Assists and supports the clinic team as needed.Qualifications:
- Current Montana LPN license. Montana RN license preferred.
- Minimum of two 2 years experience in similar position within a medical setting (i.e. physician clinic or hospital) preferred.
- Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory to give and evaluate patient care as well as knowledge of basic medical office procedures and medical terminology.
- First Aid and HCP CPR certification required.
- Possess knowledge of equipment supplies and instruments used in a medical office.
- Possess ability to adhere to simple routine clinical laboratory methods universal blood and body fluid precautions OSHA rules and regulations established protocol for storing poisons narcotics acids caustics and flammable items and restrictions imposed by various managed care carriers various forms inherent to profession and patient confidentiality regulations.
Job Specific Duties:
- Performs general nursing duties and specialty procedures. Develops implements and revises individualized goal directed nursing care to patients through the use of the nursing process as appropriate for scope of practice in the clinic setting.
- Performs and documents physical psychosocial and spiritual assessment of assigned patients utilizing all available sources of information and incorporating the patients perception of illness/condition.
- Assists provider as directed in accordance with established nursing standards.
- Prepares and administers specified medications and injections as prescribed by the provider.
- Accurately and efficiently transcribes and implements physician orders and treatments both verbal and written as noted by chart reviews and observation. Consistently problemsolves issues affecting patient care.
- Exhibits a thorough knowledge and practice of infection control procedures and strictly adheres to policies and procedures.
- Maintains an ample supply of sterilized instruments and supplies per clinic policy.
- Performs clinical testing utilizing a variety of automated and nonautomated techniques. Collects packages and accurately labels all specimens immediately upon receipt and forwards to designated lab(s) according to established protocols.
- Triages phone calls provides education schedules appointments arranges for hospital admissions and schedules any testing and/or procedures as directed.

Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
