Job Description
YWCA Dayton a 24 hours organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism seeks an energetic dedicated person to be an integral part of our team. The Facilities Technician reports to the Operations Officer and is responsible for ensuring that YWCA Daytons facilities are well maintained allowing us to meet our standards of excellence. This person supports the vision mission and values of YWCA Dayton.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete work orders as assigned using electronic work order system.
Follow preventative maintenance plan.
Assist with moving loading unloading and storing supplies furniture and equipment.
Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs including plumbing fixtures drains HVAC filters carpentry plugs/switches locksmith drywall/finishing and painting.
Set up event and meeting spaces when scheduled and assist with space allocation plans.
Maintain operational functionality of doors and windows.
Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment making recommendations for new purchases when applicable.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of building systems code and general maintenance practices.
- Active drivers license and clean driving record.
- Understanding of racial equity and social justice issues and a demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of those we serve.
- Responsive to the needs and requests of clients residents staff and Board of Directors with a willingness to collaborate and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in maintenance role.

Automatic enrollment in the YWCA National Retirement Fund upon completion of two years of employment 1000 hours or more worked per year). Employer contributes 7.5 and YWCA USA contributes 3 to contribute a total of 10.5 of gross pay
