Job Description
Description of the role
As a Tutor for AP Environmental Science at Tutor Doctor North County San Diego you will be responsible for providing personalized tutoring sessions to high school students in the N. County San Diego area. Your goal will be to help students excel in the subject and achieve their academic goals. Tutoring will be done in person 1:1 in the students home.
Responsibilities
- Developing customized lesson plans based on individual students needs
- Provide practice AP tests and test questions
- Conducting engaging and interactive tutoring sessions
- Providing feedback and guidance to students to improve their understanding of the subject
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
Requirements
- 3 years or more of study toward a bachelors degree in Environmental Science or a related field
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- Experience and understanding of the requirements of the AP test
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
- Must have transportation availability
- Live Scan fingerprinting required. Cost reimbursed.
