About the Opportunity
The General Manager Sciences and Engineering enables the delivery of professional support services to and with eight academic units ensuring they are wellintegrated effective connected to divisional services and aligned with strategic and operational priorities. This role combines financial planning operational facilitation and business development supporting the Pro ViceChancellor (PVC) and Heads of Academic Units to drive financial sustainability and resource optimisation. The General Manager acts as a vital liaison between the portfolio and central university functions providing assurance that professional support services remain responsive streamlined and fitforpurpose.
Success in this role requires a collaborative and solutionsfocused leader with expertise in financial and operational management including safety requirements stakeholder engagement and strategic planning. The General Manager must navigate complexity lead team(s) of professionals and foster strong partnerships across the University that enable longterm success and impact in Tasmania and beyond.
