Job Description
THE POSITION
Are you looking for an entrylevel position that offers professional growth and a sense of fulfillment The Department of Human Services is currently seeking Food Service Worker 1s to join our dietary team at Norristown State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Food Service Worker 1 you will have the opportunity to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment interacting with a diverse range of individuals including consumers health care professionals and other food service workers. Your role will involve preparing and serving food for various hospital functions and ensuring that dietary needs are met for all consumers. In addition you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and snack areas as well as preparing simple items such as sandwiches. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring that consumers receive highquality and nutritious meals during their stay at the hospital.

- Fulltime employment 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Sunday Saturday with a 30minute lunch.
- Rotating off duty days working every other weekend and holidays as assigned
- Overtime as operationally necessary
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
