The Department of Mathematics is a diverse and growing department with strengths in Algebraic Geometry Analysis Combinatorics Differential Geometry Mathematical Biology Number Theory Representation Theory Topology and Probability. The department has a thriving Ph.D. program with approximately 65 graduate students 33 tenured and tenuretrack faculty 8 postdocs and 14 lecturers.
The Mathematics Department invites applications for its protempore instructor pool. Position are parttime temporary limitedduration appointments not to exceed one year but with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years. In limited circumstances there is the possibility of renewal beyond three years based on programmatic need funding and performance. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.
M.S. or M.A. in Mathematics Mathematics Education Statistics or closely related field.
