The primary function of the team is toundertake enforcement activities toensurecompliance with the relevant traffic regulation orders. This includes successful monitoring and enforcement of charged parking areas parking restrictions andresidentszones inaccordancewithdecriminalisedparking enforcement(DPE)powers.
This role involves day to day enforcement of parking restrictions both onstreet and within car parks throughout Fife. Duties include:
Shifts are 5 days over 7dayseach week with the earliest shift starting at 7am and the latest ending at role is primarily based at Bankhead Glenrothes where each shift will start and end however the day will be spent travelling and patrolling throughout Fife.
Any unsociable hoursworkedarepaid as an enhancement over and above the standard salary.
The Person
We are looking for someone who is experienced in a front facing role in a customer focused environment. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and a positive approach to customer service allowing you toeffectivelyresolve conflict while remaining professional and polite.
You should be able to work with minimal supervision demonstrating your initiative while working on your own. Strong team working skills are also required to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach in delivery of theservice.
Experience within the parking or transport industry alongside a knowledge of regulations and legislation relating to parking enforcement isdesirable.
Before confirming to your appointment you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
