Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Heavy Machine Operatorto join our team at our Bridgeport Fittings facility in Stratford CT for a second shift position 3:45pm 11:45pm).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates Machines both hand fed and Automatic Assembly
- Able to read routings for component parts needed.
- Check quality of parts being made.
- Responsible for wearing safety equipment consisting of earplugs safety glasses and steel or composite toe safety shoes.
- Follow Supervisors and Forepersons instructions. Communicate with other employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to operate machines.
- On the job training.
- Must be able to understand all essential functions. In approximately one month candidate should have a good understanding of the job.
- Good use of common sense.
ENVIRONMENT:
100 performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery running
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stoop kneel and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
