ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talentedManager Data Platformsto join theEnterprise Information Management in Costa Mesa CA! Individual reports to AVP Enterprise Data Engineering & Mgmt Svs. Role is hybrid

This role is a hybrid opportunity that requires a local commutable distance to the HQ Costa Mesa CA office as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Manager Data Platforms you provide a key role within our Enterprise Information Management organization and an important player across the company. You will be a handson contributing manager who will drive the importance of purposebuilt data capabilities with a passion for delivering highly scalable performant and reliable platforms to enable datadriven solutions.

Your primary role will be to support evolve and deploy the underlying technical infrastructure of the companys data platforms implementations securely working with Engineering & Data/Dev Ops teams.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:

  • Handson technical leadership for your team performance mentoring training upskilling and working sidebyside with your team to ensure value of deployed platforms is maximized through innovation and efficiency.
  • Serve as a Product Owner in Agile for data platforms roadmap intake refinement prioritization grooming/sizing and delivery.
  • Provides strategic leadership and roadmap development for core data platforms to include Snowflake Colibra Denodo DBT sqlDBM Looker and Tableau.
  • Oversees the operational health stability and performance of data platforms to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborates with data governance and quality teams to ensure Collibra is configured correctly to effectively catalog data lineage quality and stewardship.
  • Leads the innovation of data platform and integration.
  • Enables data insights and analytics through the deployment of assets such as the Snowflake marketplace.
  • Leads the access controls automation of provisioning to decrease lag time in providing data assets.
  • Responsible for accuracy consistency and quality of Data Platform teams deliverables.
  • Highly motivated selflearner.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Statistics / Math or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience performing data platform/engineering services.
  • 3 years of experience leading technical teams including Agile framework delivery.
  • Expertise working with AWS services (Lambda S3 Glue Aurora Dynamo MWAA) DBT python and cloud data systems like Snowflake.
  • Advanced level Python for data engineering and backend development.
  • Expertise Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experienced with AgileScrum and related tools.
  • Has full understanding of SDLC processes and helped extend SDLC.
  • Experienced with CI/CD (Git/Bit CI/CD Orchestration).
  • Experienced with Cloud Warehousing (Snowflake).
  • Advance level understanding and of Security (IAM Encryption Access Controls).
  • NoSQL/SQL based and relational databases especially cloud data warehouse solutions.
  • Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines architectures and data sets.
  • Bonus points for:
    • Snowflake
    • Airflow/Jenkins
    • Containerized service development
    • Big Data/Spark ecosystem
    • Kafka/Kinesis
  • Certifications Preferred:
    • AWS (Minimum Developer or Solutions Architect Associate)
    • Terraform
    • Database Related

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the range of starting pay for this role is $130000 $160000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience education certifications responsibility and geographic location.
