Part time Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer to join an engineering manufacturer based in Covington GA
The Part time Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer will contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing supplier management supply chain development and wider business projects whilst focussing on customer outcomes and market demands.
The successful Part time Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer will have ideally proven experience in buying / purchasing within a manufacturing / engineering environment working on products like pumps valves actuators regulators automation filters hydraulics pneumatics and related mechanical engineering products.

Part time Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer Responsibilities:
Contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing supplier management and supply chain development
You will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our materials and purchasing processes
Identify evaluate and select suppliers based on quality costeffectiveness and reliability.
Negotiate contracts and agreements
Monitor vendor performance issues and corrective action management
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
Prepare daily and monthly procurement reports.
Inventory control
Using ERP system
Analyse pricing trends and seek costeffective solutions
Liaise with other departments to ensure material availability for maximum manufacturing output and efficiency.
Monitors approval of accounts to maintain an appropriate degree of control over vendor relationships. Handles correspondence concerning overshipments delivery shortages changes in quantity delivery
dates and prices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner as required.

Part time Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer Requirements:
Previous experience in buying / purchasing within an engineering / manufacturing environment. Previously been a Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Manufacturing Buyer or similar.
Working and sourcing domestically is preferred
Experience working in a procurement team is helpful.
Obtains required parts equipment and materials verifies receipt of items authorizing payment and manages and controls inventor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or inventory management softwares.
Commutable to Covington GA
