Job Description

OVERVIEW:

This is a full time position at 35 hours a week with a pay range of $22.00 $25.00 per hour. Please note the following hours for this position include:

  • During the school calendar year the hours are 1:309:00 pm
  • During school breaks the shifts will vary 9:00 am4:30 pm and/or 10:30 am6:00 pm
  • During school half days the hour are 11 am 7 pm
  • During summer months the shifts will vary 8:30 am4:00 pm and/or 10:00 am5:30 pm

This 12month position is part of the CommunityBased Programs Department. The CFT is responsible for providing counseling (individual and family) to youth and their families at identified RCenters. They also provide crisis response consultation and information and referral services. They are responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments that identify the immediate and longerterm of the youth referred. Based upon this assessment a service plan is created that includes the immediate direct services to be provided as well as referrals to other resources in the school and the community. The CFT works closely with the RCenter staff who generate the referrals and assists them to integrate into the RCenter community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Case and Program Record keeping
  • Psychoeducational Group facilitation
  • Crisis intervention/response
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate must possess significant knowledge of:

  • Client advocacy

Staff are expected to respect and honor cultural and human diversity. The annual Performance Appraisal provides an opportunity for staff to evaluate how they are integrating culturally competent practices into their everyday work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in human services education or a related field; and five 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education employment and life experience. A Masters degree is preferred.

In addition to the above it is mandatory that candidates meet the following criteria prior to hire:

  • Authorization for the agency to obtain driving record information and approval by agency insurance carrier
  • Regular access to a motor vehicle and automobile insurance at the level of $100000 per person/$300000 per accident Bodily Injury and $50000 Property Damage
  • Access to a telephone

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be able to be autonomously mobile in order to provide the required services.
