Location: This is a Hybrid position and preferred candidates must reside within 50 miles of an Elevance Health PulsePoint location.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8 am 5 pm EST.

The Buyer II is responsible for supporting Purchasing/Procurement and is responsible for participating in decisionmaking with management in the area of purchasing. Responsible for buying assignments and/or management of commodities and vendor performance.

How you will make an Impact:

• Identifies and implements strategies for cost savings through negotiation process improvement item substitution etc.

• Identifies market trends pertaining to commodities being managed and sourced.

• Develop and manage relationships with vendors and internal customers.

• Manages vendor performance.

• Prepares reports and analyses around commodities managed.

• Prepares manages and tracks Purchase Orders for our internal and external clients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS; 3 years of experience in procurement finance or analysis; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

• This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which per CMS TDL 190275 requires foreign national applicants to meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.

Preferred Skills Capabilities and Experiences:

• Additional education or professional certification is preferred.
