Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of theMechanicalteam of theMEPBuildings sector (Science/Technology and Commercial building projects) based inRaleigh North Carolina.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Perform handson CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platforms
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace Energy Pro DOE)
- Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
- Layout air and water side systems on working drawings
- Understand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for application
- Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
- Perform field verification and takeoffs of existing systems for renovation projects
- Coordinate with other disciplines (mep fp arch struct etc) for HVAC details
- Maintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projects
- Understand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
- Understand both constant and variable flow systems and properly apply equipment
What your experience looks like
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Candidate should have an engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering with 03years of building HVAC design experience
- Auto CAD REVIT MEP familiar
- Experience designing and marketing in science and technology preferred
