Overview
My client are seeking a knowledgeable Estimator specialising in FF&E to join their dynamic team. As an Estimator you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with FF&E for commercial fitout and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating a keen attention to detail and a passion for contributing to the success of diverse construction projects.
Daytoday
- Analysing project requirements and creating itemized FF&E estimates
- Researching and analysing market trends and cost factors
- Collaborating with project teams and vendors to gather necessary information
- Presenting estimates to project stakeholders and providing detailed breakdowns
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to estimates and cost analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to analyse project specifications and propose accurate estimates for FF&E and associated costs.
- Conduct thorough research on current market trends materials and labour costs to ensure competitive and precise estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and reports to project stakeholders including itemized breakdowns and alternative cost scenarios.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships within the industry.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and utilize innovative techniques to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in estimating FF&E costs for commercial fitout and construction projects.
- Indepth knowledge of industry regulations building codes and material specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex construction documents.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
