Job Title: Manager SQL Database Administration

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL DBA Manager to lead our database administration team and ensure optimal performance security and scalability of enterprise data platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and a strategic mindset to oversee daytoday operations lead database projects and collaborate with development teams across Java and .NET applications. The ideal candidate will also contribute to disaster recovery planning automation initiatives and performance tuning efforts while mentoring junior DBAs and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Minimum Degree Required (BQ):
Bachelors Degree

Degree Preferred:
Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field

Preferred Field(s) of Study:
Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems

Minimum Year(s) of Experience (BQ):
Minimum of 68 years in database administration with 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity

Certification(s) Preferred:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Other Microsoft SQL Server or cloudrelated certifications (preferred)

Job Responsibilities:
Lead a team of database administrators in managing SQL Server infrastructure
Oversee database design deployment performance tuning and capacity planning
Ensure robust backup and recovery processes and test disaster recovery plans regularly
Implement security controls and ensure compliance with data governance policies
Coordinate closely with Java/.NET development teams to support database integration
Leverage PowerShell and automation tools to streamline database tasks
Manage SSIS packages for data integration and SSRS reports for business reporting needs
Drive continuous improvements in database performance reliability and scalability
Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployment strategies

Administer and support SQL Server databases
Perform tuning backup/recovery and performance monitoring
Implement PowerShell scripts and automation routines
Support SSIS and SSRS integration
Maintain database security and access controls

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server tools and technologies
Strong experience in database design tuning and optimization
Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation
Deep understanding of backup/recovery HA/DR configurations
Handson experience with SSIS and SSRS
Strong knowledge of security and access management in SQL environments
Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Basic to intermediate understanding of Java and .NET application architecture
Experience collaborating with fullstack teams on data integration
Familiarity with cloud database services (Azure SQL AWS RDS)
Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
