Class Summary



Job Description
This position will be required to perform work on highly specialized equipment installing and maintaining pump valves and other plant process systems associated with Water Reclamation Facilities.

Essential Duties
Directing personnel in the proper repair/ replacement of equipment. The employee must be able to troubleshoot equipment to determine the cause of any problems and make accurate and timely decision with respect to repairs and /or replacements.

Minimum Qualifications
Trades Tech II:

Level II (Grade B213 $43238 $56210

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two years of trades experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Class A commercial drivers license must be obtained with 12 months of employment.
  • Valid drivers license.

Trades Tech III:

Level III (Grade B233 $51237 $66608

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Four years of trades experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Class A commercial drivers license must be obtained with 12 months of employment.
  • Valid drivers license.


Trades Tech IV:

Level IV (Grade B313 $55721 $72437

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid drivers license;
  • Five years of progressively responsible mechanical or electrical trades experience some of which is in a supervisory capacity
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment.


Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a preemployment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions. Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts electrical currents vibrations fumes dusts gases workspace restrictions and travel. This position may be required: 24 hours on call assignment overtime or working weekends holidays 10hour 12hour and rotating shifts.

Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
