Amazon is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team as Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) playing a pivotal role in leading design facility and engineering activities within Amazons Fulfillment Network across Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA). This role will be located in Luxembourg London or Madrid with occasional travel. Reporting directly to the Head of Global Building Design & Engineering in Luxembourg the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and crossfunctionally managing structural engineering programs aimed at optimizing and enhancing the safety and efficiency of both existing and new facilities. Collaboration with various stakeholders will be essential to drive the development and management of fire protection design specifications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive project and program management experience practical knowledge of structural engineering and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced technical environment while partnering with multiple stakeholders to implement costsaving processes and programs.
You will be our Subject Matter Expert for Timber Metal and Concrete structures supporting the structural solutions for the prototype templates working with other Global Realty teams such as Sustainability and teams such as Preconstruction and Construction.
Key job responsibilities
The TIPM (Technical Infrastructure Program Manager) will be the single threaded leader on structural design initiatives across the EMEA region while tracking key metrics and performance function as consulting SME to stakeholders be able to build a business case and market building improvements and work across the industry to understand trends and develop scalable technologies.
University Degree B.S. or Master in Structural Engineering Significant experience in structural engineering design or prototyping for timber metal and concrete structures Proven technical leadership experience in development and implementation of large scale complex projects. Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel AutoCAD MS Project and related software. Working and architectural knowledge using BIM and / or 3D modelling tools Revit and related
Work experience within eld i.e. with General Contractors Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) Experience in fire strategies related to the structural design Construction contract and designer contract legal experience Blue Book FIDIC Code law contracts Cost Management or Quantity Surveying experience Professional uency in English and speaking of other EU language(s) is a plus
