Position Summary:
The Family Resource Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and conducting child developmental screenings ages birth to 5 years at daycare/preschools and in private sessions; administering scoring and interpreting the results; and providing education developmentally appropriate activities and referrals to parents teachers and professionals. The Family Resource Coordinator performs community outreach by planning participating in and/or coordinating resource health and education events. The Family Resource Coordinator supports families through temporary crisis by coordinating services among government nonprofit and faith based organizations in order to divert Children and Youth Services (CYS) involvement.
This fulltime position works a Monday through Friday schedule of 8am to 4:30pm with weekends off!
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education Elementary Education Child Development Sociology Family Studies Psychology or a related Human Services field
One 1 year experience working with Early Childhood Development Early Intervention Early Education Health Care or Human Services field
Eighteen 18 years of age or older
Current drivers license which legally permits the operation a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania
Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks or proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
Knowledge of child development and assessment experience with family units in homebased setting
