Job Description:
- Conducts comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards.
- Develops and implements treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders. Monitors and evaluates patients progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Prescribes pharmacologic agents and provides ongoing medication management and monitoring.
- Provides psychoeducation and counseling to patients and their families. Assists in the education training and development of new and existing staff members.
- Maintains accurate and uptodate medical records for each patient.
Education Requirement:
Master of Science degree required.
Licensure Requirement:
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Ohio required.
Certifications:
ANCC in Primary Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) required.
