Position Summary:
Reports to Office Manager
Experience LPN willing to work 12hour shifts.
Could lead to fulltime position
MondayWednesday 7a7p the following week MondayTuesday 7a7p Wednesday 1p7p and Saturday 7a12p. Biweekly rotation repeats
Essential Functions :
Triages patients by phone and as walkins to clinic; escorts patients to exam rooms; monitors patient flow.
Accesses computer for patient reports; prepares patient chart with pertinent medical information.
Obtains and appropriately records patient vital signs/medication list etc.
Performs office procedures; assists provider/physician with minor clinical procedures.
Manages prescriptions; calls in/faxes and eRx prescriptions as directed by provider/physician.
Obtains patient referrals preauthorizations and precertifications for patients using eCW.
Performs various administrative duties including answering phone patient calls returning phone calls receiving and sorting incoming faxes completing forms as requested or needed.
Monitors documents and communicates patients status and reactions to interventions with RN physician patient and families.
May administer medications injections immunizations; utilizes office and lab equipment for inpatient orders lab tests.
Serves as a liaison between drug reps and physician maintains drug sample closet.
Completes nurse visit notes and visit codes appropriately; completes assigned tasks through eCW.
Monitors refrigerator temperatures; manages hazardous waste.
Schedules diagnostic tests and procedures as ordered by the provider/physician as needed.
