The Risk Analyst III role is a key position within the Consumer Credit Risk Management organization responsible for identifying measuring and managing credit risk across various portfolios including Checking/Savings Default and Solar. This role involves developing implementing and monitoring sustainable controls related to risk management policies and programs. The analyst will provide insights on current and emerging risks impacting assigned credit products promote accountability for risk awareness and management and coordinate the management and escalation of issues. Collaboration with First Line of Defense and Third Line of Defense business partners is essential.
Essential Job Functions
Utilize advanced analytics to identify and escalate credit risk insights for consumer and small business credit products focusing on emerging concentration and layered risks of new originations and existing portfolio asset quality.
Comprehend the full life cycle of consumer and small business credit products with respect to risk appetite positions at account and relationship levels.
Understand risk management requirements for new business/product initiatives product/process changes losses regulatory changes/guidance and thirdparty activities.
Develop and prepare risk reporting to support business risk priorities and review meeting cadence and prepare adhoc reporting for line of business and team members to facilitate senior and executive management reporting and status updates.
Required Qualifications
College degree or equivalent work experience with an emphasis on business and risk management.
Minimum of 2 years of banking industry knowledge with experience in one or more of the following areas: credit risk credit scoring compliance or consumer/small business credit lending lines of business.
Solid written and communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
Proficient use of SAS or similar coding applications and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple highlevel projects and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to be selfmotivated build and manage relationships and work effectively in a dynamic fastpaced team environment.
Proven analytical and problemsolving skills decisionmaking capabilities and ability to drive continuous improvement.
Understanding of consumer lending products businesses processes and related federal laws regulations and guidance.
Demonstrate teamwork and accountability with strong interpersonal skills ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients including executive managers and build and sustain collaborative relationships.
