This is a nonunion positionAs a member of the Corporate Controllers Group the Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for the oversight of the coordination of various external financial reporting deliverables Enbridge Inc. and Enbridge Pipelines Inc.

Supervise the annual and interim financial reporting process for public issuers (i.e. EI & EPI) ensuring compliance with US GAAP and securities reporting requirements and coordination with external auditors;
Review monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables for over 20 standalone reporting entities as well as coordination with external auditors;
Facilitate compliance with key controls over the financial reporting process;
Prepare quarterly board reports;
Present at quarterly disclosure committee meetings with Senior Executives;
Coordinate with Treasury Legal and external auditors on debt issuances and other filings;
Prepare adhoc analysis or reports as requested by other team members departments or business divisions;
Identify and initiate opportunities for operational improvement.
Research new accounting standards and disclosure requirements including US GAAP accounting standards updates for applicability to Enbridge Inc. and its subsidiaries.
Provide information and support to Accounting Research on their updates to accounting policies and procedures.
Provide leadership workload management mentoring coaching and training to the team as the need arises;
Build working relationships with Finance groups in subsidiaries; influence others to achieve common objectives and goals;
Work closely with Accounting Research to ensure that transactions and new accounting standards are accurately reflected in the consolidated results;
Maintain an awareness of current US GAAP accounting pronouncements through professional development programs and courses.
Designated Accountant (CPA) with 10 years of relevant postqualification experience including experience leading and developing a team.
Proactive adaptable and motivated to challenge status quo and inspire change
Solid understanding of US GAAP Canadian securities law and U.S. securities law
Demonstrated experience in sophisticated financial reporting positions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral
Strong project management and organizational skills including the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
Strong financial system skills; experience with various financial accounting systems and applications;
Proven leader and standout colleague demonstrating a high level of cooperation and mutual respect.

Some overtime/flexibility required around financial reporting cycles;
Occasional travel to other offices in North America.
