A class incumbent is responsible for managing and administering the operational functions of the TASC unit and assuring appropriate services are provided in an efficient and effective manner. Responsibilities include assisting professional health and human services case managers provide case management services to clients referred to TASC for substance use or mental health treatment; complying with the courtordered conditions as well as the conditions of Probation/Parole; helping clients achieve a social economic emotional and physical balance and personal independence. The goal is to decrease personal suffering promote positive lifestyle changes and decrease recidivism.
Essential functions are fundamental core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. This class is distinguished from a licensed Social Worker as employees do not perform the following duties: diagnose individuals for mental emotional behavioral addictive and/or developmental disorders and disabilities; perform related client assessment or evaluation; provide psychotherapeutic treatment; or develop and implement assessmentbased treatment plans. An employee in this class may participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to implement behavioral health services or treatment plans per Delaware Code Title 24.
