Job Description
Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Classroom Experience Supervisor
Reporting Relationship: Academic Chair School of Teacher Education
Department: Education IWU Marion
Campus Location: Goodman Hall Marion Indiana
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to candidate journal reflections and review lesson plans prior to teaching
- Complete all required onsite field observations and inperson debrief with teacher candidate
- Promptly complete each pedagogical evaluation and submit via Watermark (the STEs assessment system)
- Coordinate with Program Director and/or Academic Dean regarding field experience or student issues in a timely manner
- Evaluate all summative portfolio elements (student teaching only)
Qualifications:According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Education
Experience
- Fulltime P12 teaching experience
Required Skills
- Effective oral and written communication
- Expertise of current and effective instructional practice
- Strong interpersonal skills
