As a Data Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management youare part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the data collection storage access and analytics solutions in a secure stable and scalable way. As an emerging member of a data engineering team you execute data solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Enhance data protection controls to ensure the security and integrity of enterprise data.
- Customize and configure tools to meet specific business or customer requirements while providing guidance to peers on similar tasks
- Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases with minimal supervision
- Utilize SQL extensively and maintain proficiency in NoSQL databases understanding their unique roles within the industry.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support datadriven decisionmaking processes.
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- Basic knowledge of the data lifecycle and data management functions
- Advanced at SQL (e.g. joins and aggregations)
- Working understanding of NoSQL databases
- Demonstrated ability in statistical data analysis selecting appropriate tools and identifying relevant data patterns for comprehensive analysis.
- Experience implementing custom changes in tools to produce tailored data products.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Knowledge of Data Mesh data modeling and domaindriven design
- Familiarity with ETL tools including Spark and Databricks.
