Consumer Electronics Technology (CE Tech) is hiring a Sr. Software Development Engineer for our Engineering Excellence team. CE Tech is innovating how customers shop for electronics digital video games warranties wireless plans bundles renewed products and more!
Were seeking a passionate Sr. Software Development Engineer who dont just write code they craft elegant scalable systems that are secure resilient and have bestinclass operational health and quality. As a lead engineer of the CE Tech Engineering Excellence team youll be at the forefront of modernizing and revolutionizing our backend services and technology. Youll lead multiteam initiatives that benefit customers while working with latest technologies and setting new standards for engineering excellence. This isnt just another engineering role its an opportunity to shape the technical standards of our organization. Your work will directly influence how we build and maintain systems for years to come.
What youll do:
Youre not just a problem solver youre a problem finder who proactively identifies opportunities for system improvements
You transform aging systems into modern scalable resilient and secure systems that are kept up to date with the latest standards
You thrive in environments where you can balance technical depth with strategic thinking
You have a passion for clean maintainable code and sustainable architecture
Youre excited about staying ahead of the technology curve and implementing emerging best practices
You spearhead the design and implementation of resilient largescale systems that define best practices
You architect and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency system resilience and performance at scale
You champion qualityfirst and securityfirst development practices
You mentor and collaborate with multiple engineering teams to drive innovation and technical excellence
5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
