The Country Manager is responsible for the market development of South Korea. S/he will be responsible in terms of: budget; development of the area; management and coordination of the sales agencies that operate there; management of the customer portfolio; consolidation of the acquired business and research/creation of new business opportunities.
The main objective of the position is to guarantee coverage of the assigned country under the coordination of the Regional Sales Manager and in compliance with the strategy and the corporate business model indicated by the Company Management.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES
Contributes to the definition of the turnover/margin/volume/production mix budget of the country for which s/he is responsible
Achieving the objectives on a monthly quarterly halfyearly and annual basis;
Critical analysis of the results obtained proposing and planning recovery actions in the event of failure to achieve them and market development actions;
Responsible for the management of the sales agencies operating in the territory planning supporting and coordinating visits to the territory ensuring their training and their work in compliance with the strategy and corporate values;
Systematically uses the CRM a company tool through which he plans the entire activity and reports the activity carried out on a daily basis;
Directly manages active Customers in collaboration and under the coordination of the Regional Sales Manager in order to achieve the assigned objectives;
Deals with the search and acquisition of new Customers in accordance with the company strategy;
Deals with the attempt to recover lost Customers planning in agreement with the Regional Sales Manager the recovery actions and taking care of implementing them according to the methods and timing defined;
Collects and reports to the Regional Sales Manager the market information that may be useful to the Sales Management (Customer needs market trends information on competitors);
Collaborates with the Marketing Office for the organization and sending of communications in the area of competence then ensuring the effectiveness of the actions undertaken attends the trade fairs in which the company exhibits and visits the trade fairs in agreement with the Regional Sales Manager;
Participates in meetings on site and training sessions planned by the company.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 10 years of experience in sales or general management roles preferably in professional kitchen equipment foodservice or B2B industrial products.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and leading crossfunctional teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial distribution models technical products and service delivery.
- Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills.
- Proficient in English and the local language. Other languages are a plus.
An established manager with at least 10 years of relevant experience in Sales management roles. Experience in multinational company environment is a plus. Solid technical knowledge of compressor, blower and vacuum pumps products and their applications in the industry. Extensive industry network in SEA region. Strong understanding of customer financial drivers and buying process. A people person able to interface & communicate effectively at all levels of customers and partners organizations. Assertive yet culturally sensitive - able to challenge status quo and handle difficult situations including harsh negotiations and client crisis and resolve to everyone s satisfaction. Excellent strategic and clear thinking skills. Able to identify key drivers in complex situations and communicating clearly objectives, strategies and priorities. Ability to operate under pressure in results-driven, fast-paced environments. Self-motivated, proactive, persistent and result-oriented. Fluent (written and spoken) in English. Fluency/proficiency in Chinese and other Southeaster Asia language will be regarded as a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other routine software for business, including CRMs. Education/Training Required: Unyielding business ethic and integrity. Availability to travel extensively throughout SEA.
