About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Biomedical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for the installation commissioning servicing and maintenance of biomedical equipment in healthcare facilities. Your expertise will ensure that lifesaving devices operate at optimal performance levels contributing directly to better patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Install commission and test a range of biomedical equipment including lab systems theatre devices CT scanners and mammography machines.
Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
Provide onsite technical support and training to healthcare professionals.
Maintain service logs conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with internal teams for inventory management and technical upgrades.
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
A Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related n field.
3 5 years of handson experience working with biomedical equipment including laboratory theatre CT and mammography systems.
Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities understanding of safety and radiation protocols excellent communication and training skills.
Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya (AMEK) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
