The Partner Account Manager (Channel Sales Manager) both acquires new and grows existing (VARs) valueadded resellers partners that build products on top of Nearmaps rich geospatial content. You will be responsible for ensuring that Nearmap extracts appropriate value from all engagements with new and existing partners including revenue growth expansion of the partner network and maintaining strong relationships with partners in the U.S. You will be selling/licensing data to software platforms that make Nearmap content actionable for end customers such as roofers solar installers landscapers tax assessors public safety utilities etc.
This strategic role also involves working closely with internal teams such as Sales Engineering Marketing and Customer Success to support the partner network with sales enablement market intelligence and competitive differentiation. Success will require a collaborative and metricsdriven approach to managing partnerships and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth through channel sales by sourcing enabling and managing partnerships with VARs.
- Develop gotomarket strategies for partner expansion financial goals and achieving sales KPIs.
- Build and maintain highlevel contacts with partners to secure new business opportunities.
- Engage decisionmakers to articulate Nearmaps unique value proposition and drive adoption.
- Develop and execute territory and regional partner plans to maximize revenue and value extraction.
- Navigate and resolve channel conflicts while maintaining alignment between partners and internal teams.
- Collaborate with Sales Customer Success and Marketing teams to ensure partners are equipped with the necessary resources assets and support structures for successful sales motions.
- Build reseller partner business plans for assigned partners including product positioning and incentive programs.
- Maintain accurate data in Salesforce including partner information opportunity tracking and customer interactions.
- Provide timely and highquality reporting forecasting and administration to Sales Management and leadership.
- Be an expert on partner segments market trends and competitive offerings particularly in SaaS and geospatial solutions.
- Utilize market intelligence to drive differentiation and influence partner programs and product strategies and identify/ evaluate the leaders that are most successful in their category.
- Foster collaboration with crossfunctional teams including Product Engineering and Marketing to support partner success.
- Act as a bridge between Nearmaps internal teams and external partners to align goals and ensure mutual growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VPlevel stakeholders including the VP of Partnerships and VP of Sales.
- Comply with responsibilities of working for a private equity
- Comply with all local legislative requirements
- Adhere to company guidelines and the corporate Code of Conduct
- Where appropriate keep up to date with legislative requirements
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of direct and/or channel sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving partner growth.
- Extensive experience with new business generation strategic solution selling and partner program development.
- Experience working with VARs alliances or channel sales models is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with SaaS sales cycles and subscription models is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of geospatial solutions is a plus.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to sell to and influence Csuite executives.
- Exceptional collaboration skills and a strategic mindset to reduce channel conflict and maximize value.
- High competency with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce).
- Indepth knowledge of sales enablement practices gotomarket strategies and competitive positioning.
- Exceptional written visual and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Resultsdriven positive and energetic selfstarter.
- Tenacious and emotionally intelligent with the ability to work autonomously in a fastpaced highgrowth environment.
