Your main tasks will be:
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead a highly motivated team with a strong strategic focus fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Provide a Sustainability Platform: Create and expand a platform where various organizational elements and activities related to sustainability converge ensuring seamless integration and coordination
- Point of Contact: Serve as the primary material point of contact for Purchasing Sustainability Tires R&D Tires Business Areas and Manufacturing facilitating effective communication and collaboration
- Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to achieve our sustainability goals beyond 2030 working closely with Purchasing Sustainability Tires and related MDI functions
- Representation and Reporting: Act as the representative for SMS and MDI to external stakeholders reporting progress on sustainability transformation to various groups including the Tire Board
- Innovation and Development: Promote the development of sustainable material technologies in collaboration with strategic partners leading/supporting initiatives such as lighthouse projects
- Support and Guidance: Provide reporting analyses and basic definitory guidance to other organizational elements advancing necessary system solutions and processes
Qualifications :
- Background: Academic degree in e.g. Natural Sciences or Business Administration
- Experience: Several years of working experience in a leadership role and/or in a role with strong strategical focus
- Experience in crossfunctional coordinating role preferred
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in rubber chemistry
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking abilities with a focus on driving transformation towards sustainability
- Lifecycle Knowledge: Good knowledge of product and material life cycles
- Change Management: Highly motivated to tackle the challenges of active change management
- Networking: Exceptional networking skills and the ability to establish strategic partnerships
- Business Acumen: Good understanding of our business environment and a willingness to engage in topics beyond core R&D areas
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in representing SMS in meetings up to the Tire Board level
- Language skills: Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
- KnowHow: Comprehensive understanding of IT and specification landscapes
- Curiosity: High curiosity regarding internal and external developments and opportunities related to sustainability
