Job Description

To ensure the efficient production of the monthly payrolls in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Egis policies and procedures whilst in cooperation with the Payroll Manager. The applicant should have experience in payroll processing using SAGE Software and a detailed knowledge of PAYE National Insurance and other statutory deductions. You should have a high level of numeracy. 

  • The preparation and processing of monthly payrolls including data entry checking and dealing with employee enquiries (shift pay holiday pay Tax NI Pension etc) 
  • Providing support across systems used by the office as requested by the Senior Group Payroll manager including Sage Payroll           
  • Data management cleansing of payroll data to ensure uptodate records are accurate
  • Ensuring key data is accurate and up to date on all systems managed by the office e.g. Payroll Input Starters Leavers Data processing
  • Payroll Inboxes emails and input data
  • Providing Payroll service in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensuring payroll legislation is adhered to.
  • Managing the distribution of P45s ensuring these are issued to leavers of the organisation in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring department email inboxes are clear and up to date and all items are processed and filed correctly
  • Assisting with payroll queries and issues comments and complaints in line with policy and process.
  • Supporting the team performing general office duties e.g. sending correspondence
  • Demonstrating confidentiality and discretion at all times. Ensure GDPR compliance at all times.

Qualifications :

Experience

  • Experience in payroll processing in a multisite business
  • Experience with Sage payroll sortware is required
  • Use of Oracle Systems would be an advantage

Knowledge Skills and Qualifications:

  • Positive enthusiastic approach with a cando attitude
  • Able to work autonomously and flexibly
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good Excel and allround IT skills
  • High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
