As a Senior Tank Engineer working within the Reliability & Integrity engineering team supporting up to 30 terminals & depots across Australia you will be directly supporting our asset owners maintenance and projects teams responsible for developing and implementing the tank integrity program inclusive of risk compliance management inspection & maintenance regimes and engineering analysis. The role will require considerable domestic travel. Open to candidates in Melbourne Brisbane & Sydney
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Manage Tank integrity in accordance with Australian Standards Industry Standards VIVA Energy Engineering Guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilise Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology to determine the major inspection plan for individual tanks.
- Manage the inspection associated with major offstream inspections including scoping contracting overseeing site works competency management and quality assurance.
- Develop and assess inspection and engineering tools and techniques to support the tank integrity program. Inspection and engineering tools include floor scanning (Slofec) ultrasonic and finite element assessment.
- Provide subject matter expertise to Asset Owner Engineering & Maintence teams to support the design construction modification and disposal of tank assets as well troubleshoot tank related issues
- Maintain and further develop the tank integrity database inclusive of tank summaries RBIs historical records financial data and look ahead programs. Leverage the database to report KPIs.
Qualifications :
- To be successful you will be a Qualified Engineer (CPEng or working towards) with over 10 years of experience in the hydrocarbon industry across maintenance projects and operations with strong communication and coordination skills. You will also
- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for API650 storage tank inspection repairs and modifications with extensive experience in the application of API653.
- Have strong technical knowledge of maintenance and project requirements in major hazard facilities.
- Be able to work autonomously & effectively prioritise and manage your time to meet your commitments and hold yourself accountable for the outcomes.
- Experience in leading teams across different geographical locations with a high percentage of blue collar workers.
