Job Description
The Product Engineer Extrusion EMC is responsible for designing developing and enhancing extrusion products to meet customer expectations industry standards and organizational goals. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams including design manufacturing and quality assurance throughout the product lifecyclefrom initial concept to fullscale production. The engineer conducts feasibility studies oversees prototype testing and refines production processes to enhance product quality and efficiency. Additionally the engineer ensures regulatory compliance and drives continuous improvement initiatives fostering a culture of innovation and performance enhancement that contributes to the organizations competitive success in the market.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop tooling and auxiliary equipment essential for efficient process and product development within the extrusion domain
- Propose and establish operating parameters for new extrusion developments to optimize performance and product quality
- Regularly update and review documentation associated with the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices
- Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration among design manufacturing and quality assurance teams for the successful development of new extrusion products
- Define requirements and conduct validation tests to assess product characteristics and ensure they meet specified standards
- Thoroughly document all stages of new product development maintaining clear records for future reference and compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies procedures and the Quality Management System (QMS) to uphold quality and safety standards
- Monitor adherence to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved in production
- Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend design modifications aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs
- Provide ongoing technical support to the production team assisting in troubleshooting and resolving productrelated issues encountered during the manufacturing process
Supervisory Responsibility
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers technicians and other team members
- Coordinate efforts across departments to ensure successful project and adherence to timelines
- Oversee specific engineering tasks ensuring compliance with product goals quality standards and company policies
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Manufacturing or a related field) with a focus on extrusion processes
- Minimum of 34 years of experience in product engineering specifically in the extrusion industry or related manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes tooling design and materials used in extrusion applications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) for designing tooling and equipment
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and experience in maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering or a related field with a focus on advanced manufacturing or materials science
- Experience with advanced extrusion techniques and technologies including knowledge of coextrusion and multilayer applications
- Familiarity with automation and control systems related to extrusion processes
- Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) or Six Sigma methodologies
